ONE - John 17

We love the look and design of this short sleeve tee, but we believe it is so much more than just a t-shirt.  When Jesus speaks, we try to listen, obey, and really lean into what he is saying.  In this passage, John 17, Jesus is praying to The Father. 

Vs 21-24 says this: "that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world."

When Jesus prays here, he is praying for "those whom you have given me" (vs 9) and "also for those who will believe in me through their word". (Vs 20) 

This has seemed so daunting to me at times, but we know that if Jesus prayed it to the Father, then it IS possible, and also is the will of the Father. So when you see or wear this tee, I pray it is a reminder to seek the Holy Spirit, that we would know His heart for us. And that our prayer would match that of Jesus, that we may become perfectly one, just as the Father and Son are one.
